QUEER PIER 40 YEARS

In 2010, FIERCE launched Queer Pier, 40 Years, an arts-based

initiative to explore the intersections of archiving, cultural history and public space in community-making and social change.  Learn more about Queer Pier, 40 Years.

FIERCE ARCHIVE

FIERCE is building an archive of our grassroots organizing work with LGBTQ youth of color in NYC.  We are collaborating with NYU Fales Library and Special Collections. Learn more about FIERCE’s Archive through an interactive historical timeline.

RE ENVISIONING

In December 2010, FIERCE held a Queer Pier, 40 Years launch event entitled Queer Pier, 40 Years: (re)Envisioning LGBTQ Stories. We brought together artists, community members, youth, organizers, and supporters to celebrate.  See highlights from (re)Envisioning.

FIERCE teamed up with queer and trans artists of color engaged in liberatory art making.  These collaborations provided a critical space for FIERCE members to explore queer history through the arts, build skills and foster their creativity.  Learn more about Artists Collaborations.
